Hello everyone, I did a 3 hour Metal Detecting hunt this morning at St. Mary's Park in the Bronx. I found my first Barber Dime for that park. Kennedy Half Barber Dime Silver Roosevelt 12 Wheat Cents
That's a lot of finds for only 3 hours. Nice job. Did you try to take a bite out of that Kennedy half? Looks like a chocolate coin to me. LOL
Nice finds, @paddyman98. Have you ever considered doing a Roosevelt dime album that's exclusively detected coins you've found?
That's a lot found for 3 hours! In your first photo, is that Kennedy Half missing it's clad layer? Lol, I couldn't resist. Glad you had fun!
I remember finding a proof Kennedy half in a sandbox years ago when metal detecting. I assumed(perhaps) the youngster got a birthday proof set from a relative and broke it out to spend at school... who knows? During the years of hunting I found 9 silver halves...Just imagine how difficult it was to lose a silver half...and, unlike now, at the time that was a substantial monetary lose. J.T.
