I have a 1997 D dime that I found coin roll hunting. Is this a keeper or a spender? I put this next to another dime to show the difference. Thank you for your time all.
That would actually be a Misaligned Die Strike on the Obverse. Not a Off Center strike. It's seen a lot on Dimes. Just a Minor Mint Error Here is a great thread on the subject https://www.cointalk.com/threads/an-overview-of-misaligned-dies-mad-coins.71781/
In a batch of dimes (6 pounds) I started noticing those towards the end. I started paying attention and found 6 like that in the last few pounds. They were late 1980's and estly 1990's. Are they worth very much?
