PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Juliett is a submarine that's had more ups and downs than a soap-opera heroine.

Before finally coming to rest in this port city earlier this year, she served as a watering hole in Finland, worked alongside Hollywood stars such as Harrison Ford and even figured in an unsuccessful eBay auction. Her next mission is to rescue a retired U.S. warship.

Things were far different in 1968, when the Soviet Union launched the submarine, officially known as Juliett 484. Then, she inspired fear and envy in the U.S. and its allies. The long black vessel was powered by huge diesel engines and armed with a quartet of nuclear missiles aimed at American shores.

Last year Ebay started their Ebay Payments program. They were going to require everyone to switch over, but there was an issue with several categories including coins. Therefore, if you had switched Ebay Payments Program, you could not sell coins. In order to allow coins to be sold while the issue was being worked out, Ebay kept coin sellers on their old method of payment acceptance.. Once they fixed the issues, they required everyone to use Ebay payments, and now everyone can sell coins on ebay.

eBay collects the sales tax, so sellers on there dont have to worry about it

In this day and time, might not want to sell from home. Some out there can be quite cruel. Only stating because a family experienced it.

I know for sure that there our people outside of ebay that patrol listings looking for counterfeits/altered/phony rare coins that work to get the listings removed.
But ebay is HUGE market place, and its got LOTS of scammers, more than enough to go around. But the problem is almost always involves rare and valuable coins
    Bottom line,
If you can buy it or bid on it on ebay, you can sell it on ebay (at lest normal common items) Its not an ebay store or dealer option only.
I do not have an ebay store, nor am I a dealer of anything. I've had the same ebay account sense Feb of 2000 in the beginning I probably sold more stuff than I bought, in recent years with so many seller fees, I buy far more than I sell. Actually the only items I've sold on ebay in YEARS was a few Estate items that my mother had when she passed away last May. I don't expect to every sell anything on ebay again, the fees eat up a lot of my earnings for the stuff I did sell, they charge fees on the END total, even the money I gave the post office, (the shipping fees) and then on every sell there would be this dollar or so in some fee that was never explained?? (never did figure that out) Then paypal fees it was just to much.
Now, you can go through ebay shipping services and get discounts on shipping, that helps, and Its possible that people who run ebay stores may get pretty low cut shipping rates??? I just never looked into upgrading to an ebay business account.
