Have a question they melted them because as bars they were worth more that $20?if so how much they were money hungry and despritato.
I put the coin in neutral context. Look at my new coin! something like that. And it was still taken down. The coin may have not been neutral, but it sure hadn't stopped the moderators before. Infact I have posted a few Trump coins that could pose problems. Those weren't removed or questioned. It is what it is some of the mods take a personal view instead of the rules into question. I am over it, but still it happened.
The title is the key some people get emotional and angry over that name but it could get worse than this.
yeah I have seen many "counter stamps" like this over the years IE: Kennedy head, hearts, most every state outline, clovers, Mason symbol... Ect Ect. All added post mint. Not worth much but some collect them.
Let's be honest, the amount of moderator supervision when dealing with a subject like politics DRAMATICALLY increases the work the Mods have to do. The Mods here do a great job but they are not paid and they do this to help the site. How many of us would do their jobs on the Coin-only sections ? Now...increase that workload by about 1,000% if you add politics or other controversial topics and...... I get it, and I love to discuss politics. They want this place focused on coins. For politics, you go to a political site.
good point! Even though I have a few gold coins that have love token etchings and letters. Ruined good coins in the process
What kind of bothers me is all those morgans replaced with naughty girls on them, they wouldn't etch out an 1893 S i hope .
It did not come from the mint like that. The coin did but then it was Counterstamped afterwards. It's not fake, it's a real coin.
I posted a copper round a number of years ago. I don't recall stating anything about the round but it was in a thread about copper bullion. The round was considered political and it was removed but I made no political statement about it. Now, I just avoid posting it.
Not a lot of people ready to put THAT amount of time and effort into a coin these days. Not when you can "reach" millions with a post to FaceTwitGram...
