There really isn't any excuse for bored buying. If you are bored with coins for the moment then you should seek enjoyment in other aspects of your life. Perhaps the boredom is a signal saying ..ok ..enough online coin time maybe I should spend time with family or friends. Take the time to reconnect with the offline non coin world. Life is lived offline and there are many worthy pursuits in life that don't involve crusing ebay or coins.

I impulse buy many of my moderns because I know they are relatively cheap. I have my list on my treo phone and I wont even know what ill pick up until i walk out the door. I enjoy that, it satisfies my bug, and also fills hole in my Dansco moderns. Any time I drop more than 100 I have to really think about it.

No, not what I meant, . Bored buying means you buy things outta boredom.

Like, when you go to a show and can't find a blessed thing there for your collection. So you pick up a cheap little Jefferson with nice toning. Or some odd foreign coins.

OK, gotcha. That hasn't happened to me.....I buy when I'm excited about something.

yeah, I sometimes impulse buy as well, not nearly as much as I used to tho since I've been getting to bed earlier b/c late at night is when most of my impulse buying is done. Plus, I've become more aware of my budget and I'm in the process of learning to expand my budget so I can buy more coins, which I can't do if I'm spending most the money I'm currently making on coins. My main coin buys, now adays, are from the bank, tho (i.e. roll searching)

Lol, that's a great one Ken!

As for bored buying, I wouldn't really say I buy when I'm bored, but I do like to make some small purchases to hold me over between my larger purchases.

Actually I think bored buying happens a lot more, and to a lot more of us, than people will admit. Very few ever truly exercise the patience that they should when collecting. They just can't wait to fill that next hole, to buy that new coin so they can post about it and share with others, or just because the money is burning a hole in their pockets.

I'd even be willing to bet that if you could add it all up, there's probably been more money spent as a result of bored buying than there has been anything else - regarding coins that is.

Buy a new Camero to help compensate for other things that are lacking.
    That will kill the boredom.
