Hi, how reliable are the newer dansco albums? ( do they provide adequate protection.. minimum of at least what a 2x2 would)? Are they now pvc and acid free?

Another info and thoughts would be greatly appreciated... trying to get great protection and view ability for most of my collection.

    Thank you!

We have had this discussion many times in several threads. I believe the general consensus was that if you are going to keep your coins in albums, Dansco is a good album, and those that own Intercept albums consider them a far better choice.
I'll not speak for everyone, but I have many albums, and all the time it took me to transfer them to Intercept albums was very much worth the time.
    Good luck to you!

For some coins, yes and for others, no.
I would never put a proof of any type or red copper in one.
PVC and acid are not a problem with new Danscos.

Well of course I put those in air-tite shells. Would these albums provide good protection for worn 90% silver coins?

For Unc. coins I don't like them , the plastic doors can scratch the high points , so if you do use them please use caution putting the coins in , and make sure they are seated flat or better yet put the coins in Kointains if they fit in the holders .

Yes, they are great for worn silver.
