I was told to post this under variety coins not error coins but im not really sure where to find that. I see a main category for error coins though. I apologize if im not putting this in the correct place but would love any advice.
Also mimicking pics I saw of the 1982 ddr on variety vista is incredibly hard with lighting. Im seeing the same things as those photos but cant seem to take photos of it. Can anyone tell me if these pics I took can help determine if this is doubled died?

There is no forum named Variety Coins.. All coins that you may think is a variety such as a Doubled Die can definitely be posted on the Error Coins forum.
Don't worry so much about that.

    I don't think it's a DDR variety IMHO
But someone else might see something.

Curious cent, but I think it's a normal cent. What is throwing me off is that the EPU looks thicker...but the dots are not elongated. This would suggest to me that it's not a DDR. But the B in PLURIBUS has similar characteristics with doubling. Your photos don't include the shots needed to confirm markers for DDR-001, so tossing those in might help tip the scale.

Wow. The #1 DDR in the 1982 Small Date Zinc series. She should send it in to PCGS and get it certified, Rick, no? What an important find this one is. I've never been so lucky as to have found one of these, myself.

I see nothing but a well circulated 1982 cent with hits and damage. No offense, but you may damage your eye sight by looking at every coin with a microscope.

When I had my microscope back in grade school our class looked for things like life in pond water and such. Some real cool little stuff swimming around in that. We used a magnifying glass for our coins. I wonder why with these microscopes we aren’t seeing amoeba on these coins. I’ll bet it’s there if you look hard enough.

I'm not seeing DDR-001 at this time. Better photos that mimic one of the attribution sites would be helpful. I'm partial to Coppercoins myself, but I can work with anything. I don't think that this coin appears like 001 or 002. And while there appears to be some thickness in the EPU, a side-by-side comparison of another coin in the same die stage might set up a contrast to bear out what we have here.

I'm curious...in particular...because of the appearance of the B in PLURIBUS. And there are a number of folks looking at this coin that I feel are unsettled about disqualifying this coin and have a good eye for spotting doubling. In fact, we appear split on what we have here.

Lol! You got that right! I collected pond water in a big glass jar, and always felt like a killer when I threw it all out in the backyard.
