I could not find this exact coin in my sears books from 1979, but It looks similar to Thessaly drachms. Please let me know your opinion real or fake? This coin has 97 % silver&2% copper (XRF +-2%).
You can use ACS search features for free. The paid part is finding out the hammer prices for auctions and doing imagery searches. It is a fantastic website that is super valuable to the community. I use their image searching and it is pretty amazing too but you do have to pay for it. Keyword searching is the free part. Like any text-based search there is kind of an art to finding what you want. If you know the name of the city that is a big help or emperor then typical descriptions for some of the imagery like horse shield helmet standing Nike etc usually takes some messing around to narrow down what you are looking for. Sometimes just some generic searches and then scrolling a bunch you figure out what city it's from. Then add that to the search terms and that further narrows it down. Play around with it.
Looks like https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=6253294 But your example is so beat up it is hard to tell if it is fake or not. I would lean towards fake. That is one of the few signed dies in this series making it very unlikely to be a random find. It helps if you post the weight in grams and the size and millimeters. Using ACSsearch.info is a great way to look for similar coins and check their weight size and style. I searched for Larissa drachm and scrolled a little before finding this one.

The weight is pretty low. Should be close to 6 g. Probably not genuine and in that condition really not worth that much anyway.
Thanks for the help. I've been using google search photos, vcoins and I click on every picture in wildwinds to see if there is a match. That may be a better starting point.
Honestly it's a bit more difficult to tell with this one from my perspective, but I will defer to the experts...
