I don't seek them out but consider it a bonus when I see a clash. This one is more interesting to me, because in addition to the clashes through the ribbon and in front of the neck, the O from ONE is clashed behind the ear. It seems unusual to see clashes in the relief, since they are recessed on the die. Must have banged pretty hard.
The US Large Cent series features many clashes in the early (pre-1815) series. My favorite, though *NOT* my coin (Oh don't I wish!) is shown below.
I only have one. I remember I posted it here on CT a couple of years ago, asking about a strange thing I noticed on my hand-me-down SLQ. And it was on that post that I learned, for the very first time, what a Die Clash is. Can you find where the die clash is?
Took me a while to find that one. http://www.maddieclashes.com/denominational-overlays/ is a useful site for overlays of these, if you haven't seen it.
Thank you. I've seen overlays posted here on CT, but never took a note of the site. Thanks for it. Will come in handy.
This one seems pretty common but I didn't didn't know that when I bought it. Just thought it was a really cool upside down head on the reverse and a partial wreath on the obverse. This is the seller's photo. Clash wasn't mentioned in the description. Paid $84.
