Sorry Daggaron, looking for some myself from the ABNCO or other old banknotes & obsoletes,if I find some I'll let you know for sure my friend. I just got the Premium Int. Eng. Line & will be looking now that I'm expanding my collection into international bank note.
i have been having troubles getting my book delivered the PO sent it to a different zip code, so i am hoping they will have it re-routed to the correct one for tomorrow. They had it delivered to the wrong on November 2nd. They told me this weekened, it should make it to me this week. I do have my fingers crossed lol I dont know many, if any, paper money collectors who do not appreciate the artistry on ABNCo notes! russian or not... they are works of art from any country!!! so your expanding into the world arena eh'? welcome lol there are a ton of notes that have such wonderfull colors, vingettes and artwork! I still prefer the days of old when ABNCo was in full swing, but there are alot of very nice notes in the world today!
Hi Thanks for response. These banknotes are from 20 century. See the eagle image - it has no crown on top (i.e. after Russian revolution of 1917).
Russian paper money from before 1890 had largely disappeared from circulation at the time of the revolution when all Russian currency lost it's value. For that reason, it is actually quite scarce, unlike contemporary Austrian, Hungarian etc. currency from that era. About the easiest to obtain, but still pricey are the 1884 1 Ruble notes. I will caution you that there are known fakes of even these, but especially the much scarcer higher denominations.
