Probably. I'm sure whoever sent this in to CAC was expecting a gold bean.

This is another 65 example (non-CAC) in my collection which does have marks. This appears to be an above average example of the issue in this grade since the chatter isn't too bad. This coin is still at PCGS going through the 35th anniversary reholder process.

Nicest I've seen yet for the date...just a couple little surface hits. Fabulous toning!

MS65s are getting some money aren rising in price. As for the chatter, persona;;y I don't care. It is all ugly and distracting from the design.

The golden toning appears much darker and duller in my close up image. Shooting coins in slabs is not ideal for me.

I agree. Whether actual hits or chatter, it’s all distracting.

Gunna say no. 3rd one has fingerprints #1 reverse (leg scratch) and worn. #2 has marks too

I would maybe buy #2’s Reverse (Minus the A in States). All day long. Anybody think the same.

Picture #1 looks like some sorta old bomber on Ike’s temple or forehead. Heading North. Over!

What do you think is the going price of an MS65 1973 Ike or an MS66? Those are not running cheap.

I guess IKES are "hot" all of a sudden. This week it's like 5 posts on them when normally it's like 2 posts a year. Lol

agree with green 18, if you want it graded buy it graded. But know that PCGS lists the value of a MS65 at $50. They only graded 182 Philadelphia strike Ikes in 1973 higher than 65 out of a mintage of 1,769,258. Not to discourage you but what are the odds? On the other hand you are only out the cost of the grading if you want to take the shot. I'd go the Dansco route.
