This is a tough one. My first impression is either Probus or Aurelian, but the letters don't seem to line up.

The obv appears to have "IMPCM-----O----"
I was first thinking IMP C M PROBVS AVG or the like, or IMP AVRELIANVS... but the letter shaped like O doesn't like up in either instance.
Then I thought Diocletian but the letters still don't match up. Neither does Constantine.

    Could it be Florian?

WOW! That was literally my last guess. The reverse matches for sure. Head shape as well. I'll take it.

I was editing it to add Florianus when Shea posted. Florianus seems to fit better.

Okay, my day has been MADE.

Upon close inspection the position of the "O" and what appears to be "C MAN" sure points to Florian.

If true, this would be one of the best deals in the history of trade deals, maybe ever.

Got it for $5.25 in a small group lot. Incredible.

    Thanks so much everyone!

Yeah, looks like Victor beat me to it. You can make out the L O in Florianus in the obverse legend.

I agree that it is Florian though I'm late to the party. Great little pick up there, @hotwheelsearl !

    I love these little surprises.
I spent $21 on the lot, and I only wanted the Aurelian which I felt was worth the entire cost by itself. Basically, the Florian (and the Constantine genius, and Salonina Fecunditas) I consider to be "freebies"

I only wanted this, but got Florian?? Wow.

You get some really good bulk lots. I'm jealous.

Nothing will ever beat the Commodus Herculi Romano denarius in a junk lot. This one is pretty close though.

Yeah, my bet was with Florian as well... you've been having a great run of luck lately.
