One of my favorite coins, given to me, from a friend awhile back. Absolutely gorgeous coin, even considering the several spots of that gunk on the coin. (Verdigris? PVC?)
Anyway, this is one of my favorites, and just thought I'd share

I have always really liked the designs on the Liberty Dollars. I have wanted to pick up an example of each denomination down the road...if I can find them around spot of course. ;)

For all the current ones for sale...

That is about all I got :( You can always do an eBay search to see what you can find, and you can also go to this link; http://www.libertydollar.org/catalog/index.php?cPath=23
There you will find some errors, and some older, more expensive coins.

OK, I think down the road I will pick up a couple examples. I think I will look for the designs that most appeal to me...such as the gun dollar.

I would recommend the 2009 Copper "Tea Party" Tax Dollar as well, along with the 10 year anniversary set as those as pretty cool as well :thumb:

I will look into them. I don't want to buy too many as I don't really want to support the company who produced them...I know they were somewhat of a questionable organization when they first started.

I will probably by them from a third party anyway.

Could be a way to save money, wish you luck, but they go pretty expensive either way.

I am a big supporter of these coins, and the organization. Love the coin designs too.
I hope to get more in the future, as this is the only one I have, and I also have one on the way.

Well there are many different styles, and types of these coins, not only in copper but silver, and even gold.
Different years, different designs, if you look around you will see that a lot of them have different wording and designs, but the obverse is mainly the same.

Just look around, some sellers do offer internationally shipping, and even if they don't, contact them, and ask them, if you paid extra, if they would ship to Ireland.
    Always worth a try ;)

I bought a roll of th eliberty copper dollars when they first came out in 2007. They were all tarnished with weak strikes. But, they were only a dollar a coin, so i couldn't complain. lol

See, I'm not a supporter of their organization. I felt their attempt to undermine US currency was bad for the country and am somewhat glad the government stepped in.

However, they do make some very nice bullion pieces.

And you see, I feel that this currency is how the US's currency should be, rather then trading around worthless IOU's.

At least we can agree on them making nice bullion pieces.. :D

I see where you are coming from, but the problem is this was a private corporation trying to corner a currency. That can lead very bad places. Plus, we tried having our money backed by precious metals and it failed horribly.

Thing is, people don't have to, and weren't forced to exchange it... I believe it should be between the buyer and seller, on a case by case scenario, rather than the government stepping in and saying no.
I'd have no problem accepted and trading this as currency, and in fact would prefer it.
