I have vowed to NEVER AGAIN post photos of a purchase "pre-arrival." It seems to be bad juju and jinxes the delivery . . . Z
1896 S AU 50 Morgan An often overlooked key date. It has a fairly decent original mintage, but the surviving mintage is considerably lower. This is because they (most likely) were melted. Nice struck coin.
This was one of the coins I wanted to upgrade for some time. NGC AU58/CAC approved. Better pics to follow...
...and one of the few slots I still had to fill in my NGC 7070 set. Seated 25C w/o motto, NGC AU58 @Seattlite86
1891 Liberty Nickel oh, wait a minute that's what was supposed to be in the envelope but when I opened it this is what I found.
And another commemorative. Working my way to a set, not all dates and mm but examples of each design.
I am guessing someone else has my nickel and I am waiting to see if I get a query . I did a little research on this token and I believe it is a R-6. The nickel would probably go Au-50 and I purchased it because it was way under priced. I'm not sure of the value of the token but seeing I do like the token I wouldn't mind the trade. It was a overseas transaction so to straighten this out he would have a small fortune in postage and a months delay. It would probably be cheaper to just eat the cost and give everyone their money back. I wouldn't take it I would just keep the token.
