I found a roll of half wheats in a bank roll, some beautiful coins but I dropped a 1952 d cause you know... make sure it sounds right . Sounded more like zinc, well at least not copper. I am new I'm figuring out how to post pictures. I'm just curious cause it's still an intact penny that's legible. Thank you for any help on this
Hi and welcome to Coin Talk!! Yes that coin is seriously corroded! Really not even worth trying to save IMHO!!! Would like to see some of your other wheats!
Thanks for the info I appreciate it. Well I thought these looked good for a wheat Cent after so many. These are the two I'll show, I'm starting to think these looked cleaned at some point. That information would be awesome too. Now I look at the photos, they look pretty bad. I donno I'm trying to bvn understand what's a good quality for a wheat. Maybe these arent beauties I just got excited
From the pictures I can't tell for sure if they have been cleaned or not. I think they are OK though! Nice Wheaties!! By the way, that excitement is caused by the coin bug!! For some it's more contagious then COVID-19!!!
Haha yeah, i am horrible with photos at times everyone i really appreciate the feedback, it's been super awesome to get feedback from people in the game for alot longer than me. I love the thrill of the hunt. This is box 8 of 8. Yeah 8 boxes of pennies, I'm down to the last 10 bucks in rolls, it felt good to see these. Not just unwrapped 5 bucks and being like "well these 5 are ddos let's go etsy them for 25 grand cause I'm sick of looking" lol
