There is NO SUCH THING as a 1943-D copper planchet error! It only occurred at the Philly and San Francisco mints! FAKEROO!!!!!!

Last time I checked PCGS showed one for this date/mm certified as a 64 with a value over 1 million either way this is definitely not another one. 20210329_173424.jpg

The listings I have seen in magazines only show this error for Philly and San Fran, not Denver. When was this discovered???

My guess is that the 1 bidder is an acquaintance of the seller. Or the second account of a seller placing a bid to trick people into thinking its real.

If he wins the bid he doesn’t have to pay himself.

Yeah, Jim nailed it. These were a dime a dozen not long ago available from your favorite Chinese importer. And the really disturbing thing is they didn’t look too awfully bad either!...... If another genuine example goes to auction in the future, you can bet the Chinese mint presses will be back at work making more of them.
