I don't have a whole lot of space on my desk, wish I did though. I am (in distance from the coin from the lens) maybe anywhere between5 and 7 inches away from the coin

T$, your photos almost looks hazy and are a little too dark it seems, maybe that's just the black background though, but still seems that your photos mute the luster somewhat that I know is on that coin.

I took your last two photos and opened each in Microsoft Office Picture Manager and just hit the "AutoCorrect" button and they came out like this. Seems to have cleared up the "haze" that I see and makes some of the luster pop, but since I don't have the coin in hand anymore not sure it makes the photo more accurate.

The first one is the closest to being accurate. (The one you edited is the one I'm speaking of) Very frustrating, but I will get it one of these days

My first thought was that the lighting needed to come in at a higher angle.
After the auto correct posted above I'm not sure of that. You may already be doing that.

My next thought would be to increase the exposure a bit at a time.
The coin looks too dark and the only way to fix that before it comes off the camera is to increase the lighting or the exposure.

I'll sometimes diffuse a third light for fill lighting. That sometimes lets me raise the other lights higher and reduce the lighting blowout in areas.
I know how tough some coins can be. Sorry if I'm just posting stuff you already know. Good luck.

It is almost a feeling that I have done everything... LOL
This is a difficult coin, the other coins I have aren't this mind numbingly, head scratching, hair pulling out, frustrating to photograph. I will try diffusing the the third lighting source, and see what I can do. Maybe move to a new location in the house, and try a different technique or camera setting or even try to photograph it outside.
    Thanks for your help :hail:

    Alrighty took some more shots

I don't know if I can get these photos to be all that accurate, trying everything, nothing is working. Guess I gotta keep trying, after that, may want to give Todd a whack at it
