Mercury Head Dime Collection

Hi so I’m new here. I have a collection of Mercury head dimes and I was wanting to find out it’s value from anyone willing to tell me. As I am currently at work right now I will post a picture when I get home, all dimes in the collection are labeled with the date and mint mark.

There are a few key dates to look for. The 1916-D is one of the rarest coins of the 20th Century. Other keys include the 1921, 1921-D and the 1942/41 overdate. The 1926-S is a semi-key. Welcome to the forum! Can't wait to see your photos.

 

Ok sorry for the delay everyone. Here’s the collection that I’ve put together over the past 5 years. I worked hard to collect most of these but unfortunately I’m in need of some money desperately. So any estimates on value of these would be much appreciated. If you would like a closer look at any, just ask, I will try my best to show everyone what they want.

 

Every one is worth at least melt value but the ones with lower mintages or in better condition are worth more. You have a 1931 S with 1.8 million so that one is worth considerably more than melt value. As of me writing this, melt is at $1.80 each dime, although silver has been down for about that past month or so. Hope you get back on your feet soon.

 

Sorry, that was my bad, that dime was another 1945 dime that I put in here just so it would have a safe place to stay. Unfortunately I do not have the 1931 s.

Welcome to Coin Talk. Sorry, from what I can see you don't have the key dates nor any high grade coins. It would be hard for you to get much more than melt value for them. Good luck when you do sell them.

 

I would look elsewhere for the funds you need. This is a nice start to a lowball collection and not worth enough to help you. Welcome to CT.
