I've got $2.38 in Canadian coins BUT I'm not in Canada

They have showed up in random change over the last 20 years, What should I do with them?
Would it be bad karma to pass some at the drive thru window now and again till they are gone?

Keep them whatever you do don't put them in rolls,bad karma will come your way.

 

Where are you? They usually pass at face in Michigan, nobody really cares.

 

I grew up in Michigan , and yep......lots of canadian money (coins) there passed at face. Nobody really noticed or cared.

 

Put them in a coin star reject bin or donate them to Salvation Army or something. There’s a ton of ways to give something away without trying to short a business

 

Leave them in the reject tray of a Coinstar machine.

 

Mail them to a Canadian charity.

 

We have a Canadian member of the coin club that comes down winter visiting, but didn't come this year.

I pitch them in the park for people with metal detectors to find. It's not rare but I bet it beats a bottle cap.

 

I spend them, in Canada. Well I did until last year when the border closed.

I have over 70 bucks in loose change from the Great White North. I figure, if i ever head up that way, all meals at the automat are on the house, Woo hoo!

 

I use my debit card whenever possible when I go to Canada, that way i get the bank exchange rate and don't pay a fee at the currency exchange places.

 

I don't exchange currency. I have a lot of Canadian dosh, at the moment I have over C$200. I get it various ways.

 

I don't think paddyman wants to find those

We see a fair amount of Canadian coins here in Minnesota. I have been saving every one since the 70s.
At some point I'll go through them and see if there's anything collectible there.

 

Look for the modern day rarities there are a few in Canadian coins

 

There was another thread about Canadian coins and I mentioned in the thread how much I like Canadian coins, but got very few in the backwoods of North Carolina that we live in. I do have a few pennies, a nickel, a dime and a quarter. I keep all of them that I can find or even buy. I got a PM that he has a few coins he could send to me. I won't say his name without his permission, but he sent he some beautiful coins, several of the coins were commemorative and a few that were older coins. All of them were beautiful. I want to publicly thank him for his kindness.
