They have showed up in random change over the last 20 years, What should I do with them?
Would it be bad karma to pass some at the drive thru window now and again till they are gone?

Put them in a coin star reject bin or donate them to Salvation Army or something. There’s a ton of ways to give something away without trying to short a business

Leave them in the reject tray of a Coinstar machine.

We have a Canadian member of the coin club that comes down winter visiting, but didn't come this year.
    I'll save them for him

Down here in GA, in my experience, nobody ever seems to even blink at them here either. Especially in the last 22 years, since the Statehood quarter program started. People have gotten so accustomed to seeing a variety of designs on any quarter sized coin that appears in their change, they seldom bother to look any closer.

Only the vending machines seem to care. And who inserts coins in vending machines anymore? Even it doesn't have a card reader, most people put bills into a machine. The coins come out of it.

I pitch them in the park for people with metal detectors to find. It's not rare but I bet it beats a bottle cap.

I use my debit card whenever possible when I go to Canada, that way i get the bank exchange rate and don't pay a fee at the currency exchange places.

Remember a line from the South Park "Blame Canada".

We see a fair amount of Canadian coins here in Minnesota. I have been saving every one since the 70s.
At some point I'll go through them and see if there's anything collectible there.

There was another thread about Canadian coins and I mentioned in the thread how much I like Canadian coins, but got very few in the backwoods of North Carolina that we live in. I do have a few pennies, a nickel, a dime and a quarter. I keep all of them that I can find or even buy. I got a PM that he has a few coins he could send to me. I won't say his name without his permission, but he sent he some beautiful coins, several of the coins were commemorative and a few that were older coins. All of them were beautiful. I want to publicly thank him for his kindness.
