Roll-searchers, post your results!

Hey guys I'm new to the forum. I recently started roll-searching, gone through 5 boxes of halves and only came up with 12 40% . I've been having better luck with dimes, averaging about 5 a box. Hoping to pick up some more coins tomorrow.

Also, do your banks give you trouble cashing in halves? I know only $100 worth go into a bank bag at the penny arcade

See thats why it pays to be nice to the tellers and keep them happy i never have any problems and i usually fill at least 2 bags every time i go in.....

I try to be nice as possible, maybe the banks find it odd that a 20 yr old is asking for so much change.

 

Ok after a few hours of searching. We found four 40% halves out of one box. I found a 46 and 63 dime in the box of dimes. Those dimes are hard to spot with my old eyes. Good thing I had my girls helping even the 18 month old found one tonight. Of course by accident but it was awesome.

I searched a box of halves today, ONE silver was all, but at least it was a 90%er.....a 64.

I also found a 2002, a 2007, and two 2009Ds that appear to be MS70 to me. I'm no grader, but these coins are just FANTASTIC. Gave one to my 15 year old he was thrilled. They are just beautiful.

 

Wooo just called the bank, put aside 2 boxes of pennies and a box of dimes.
Anyone else get this excited ?

Found a log cabin penny in my change today

 

Of course, we all do, lol, that is why we are here!

Talking about getting excited, I stopped by a bank and asked for halves and they said they had $240 and I said I'd take them. Then they go to the back of the bank and get all of these hand wrapped rolls. I find the best treasures in hand wrapped rolls!!!

They get to the counter and they are all old presidential dollar coins. I explain I want HALF dollars and they appologized and said they didn't have any. That was yesterday, today the same thing happened at another bank. Talk about getting excited then let down!!!

Anyway, I got a new box and 3 rolls of hand wrapped and am waiting for my kids to go through it.....

 

WOW! That is all? Man, these silver halves just keep getting eaten up! Pretty soon there will be none left :bigeyes:

 

Yeah, the silver halves are getting harder to come by. My last box I was able to pull 7 40%ers and a 1971 S proof. It's a beauty!
