I am pretty sure he was being facetious

Must be a message here, Joe (?)

.....and then update the post. I'm not the best at error attribution and that is why I don't have a hard stance as I have in the past. If you think you're right, send it in and then show me so I/we can learn.

Yes, check these out. One is of the other quarter. There's actually doubling on both sides of the frilly area.

I am very touched at your kind offer, and someone has actually done this for me before in the past. Admittedly I would feel bad to accept unless you're genuinely curious if this is a new find. I already have some firsts for quarter designs listed by Wexler.

I like your open mind. Well, I am sure you're familiar with Wexler's variety website, correct? If you take a look at, say, a good amount of the ATB Bombay Hook doubled dies, I think you'll be convinced without Wexler verifying this one.

No, why would he? I have found many of these and all I've sent have been verified except one, which was said to be too minor, albeit still hub doubling.

That sure looks definitive to me. Send that one in also.

No, I wouldn't be convinced without an expert verification.

Don't feel bad, I would just like to see the error recognized. Let me know.

For what it's worth, Tanner Scott just told me that it's a DDR, and he is an expert. But if Mountain Man is willing to send the money instead by PayPal, I will oblige and send this to Wexler.

You are very kind. Since I don't give my address out, would you be willing to send the money by PayPal? Of course, you should know that it may be be months before Wexler is able to attribute it. Cuvelier might be faster, but the last time him and I communicated, he was pretty backed up as well.

Well then send it in to him and just pay return postage. No need to fleece anyone else here. Return postage can't be that much.

I'm not seeing it. Then again, if this is what counts as "doubling" count me out.

Fleece? It does cost about $12 total for one coin. $3.50 + $3.50 +$4.00 +$1.00
Why would you suggest I am pulling something?

If you explore Wexler's variety site, Coppercoins, CR Die Varieties, or CONECA's Variety Vista, you'll see countless examples like this. Hardcore doubled die collectors want every doubled die variety. It's a different working die due to misalignment during the hubbing process, and it's one die affected out of hundreds to thousands.

I get it. Everybody has their "thing" :)
I just can't get myself to get super excited about something that you can't see with the naked eye.
@Rick Stachowski has an eye for these uber-minute doubled dies.

Sorry, but due difficulties with PayPal, I refuse to use them, so a check is the only way. If it helps, I promise to never divulge your information.

I don't know why he's worried about giving out his address when you're giving him your checking account number, lol.

I am thankful for your generosity, but I guess I will have to decline. Thank you, again. <3
