It seems like people are on a bidding frenzy these days. Take this 1972-S proof 69 deep cameo LHC that sold a few minutes ago on eBay for $660. What??? The PCGS price guide is $325 and recent auction sales have all been under $300. The only thing I can come up with for such a high bid is that the buyer is hoping to crack it out and resubmit it in hopes of being the only PR70DCAM example. Is this how some people are spending their covid relief checks? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Stunning-1...-/224391585334?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
Sometimes a person sets a high bid to ensure victory (thinking that no one else would be silly enough to bid that much) and bam another person comes along with the same idea. I've also seen my fair of share of incredible results that last year to two. A good deal of it most be due to more people being at home (not spending on vacations/travel/restaurants/etc) and less supply to satisfy that increased demand.
