Hello again. I found this 1959-D cent and while admiring it's color and condition under the scope, I noticed a rectangular imprint on Lincoln's cheek. My questions are; Is this a strike through? If it is imprinted after minting, how do I determine that? Thank you.
Our fellow enthusiasts have this correct. On a struck through object, you won't see the berm of displaced material like you can see here. That's because all the material is flowing around the object. When you see a struck through, it'll be like a cavity although it started like that.
