wow never seen that before, thanks for the update. Been collecting for many many years and banking with the same bank and never heard of that.

Ya just gotta ask. Depending on policy, they may let you order a box or boxes, which would be BWRs. I've gotten several boxes, and some partial boxes, from my Credit Union branches.

Did you go through the whole box to find those, or just starting? Sorry if the answer is somewhere above. Nice finds, thanks for sharing.

Boxes of cents are also referred to as "bricks".

These finds were from about halfway through the box, I found some others after but nothing super special

I still don't understand this fascination with wheaties. I see them in every coin shop and show and they just seem as common as cents. I have some in my collection, but I don't go out of my way to look for them, nor do I check my change. What am I missing?

^^^I do it just to kill time and keep them all because
I like em and trying to challenge by filling my book with only finds from circulation but I don't think I'm going to find an 09,s V.D.B:D:D.

You know, I'm not sure I understand it myself lol ;) I think a lot of people who are just getting started collecting are drawn to wheats because they are fairly inexpensive way to start building a collection, at least that's what got me started on them... now I continue to search penny rolls more often than other coins probably because you get the most coins out of one roll, you get more pennies for the same $$ or less than you could get nickels, dimes, quarters, etc.
I absolutely LOVE looking through rolls, It's one of my top fave things to do, so in my case, thats one of the reasons why I'm drawn to the wheat pennies, because its more coins for less $$ and I can spend more time on one roll and get more enjoyment out of searching all the different dates...:D:D

Hey, you did okay. And I understand your reasoning. I've started collecting Mercury dimes and some nickels, because you get more bang for your buck. Better than spending some $30-$50 for a Morgan or Peace dollar. But I doubt that I'll ever get into doing the CRH game. Seems too much work for too little reward. I much prefer letting someone else do it so I can buy it at a coin show. I think I'd call it outsourcing the CRH!

It is very nice that a/your bank will let you buy a brick/box of cents. Then you take it home and look through all the rolls of cents. When you are finished, how do you handle the cents so that you can return them to your bank?

Not sure how everybody else does it but when I'm done I just put however many are left into new rolls and take them back, they will just count it as a deposit back into my account, it is a little time consuming re-rolling them but I kinda like doing it so... :)
