Ok Frank you got me started. How do they go about picking what gets inserted into the book? ie.. Why have the Godless dollars or the double edge Adams not gotten any press yet, there are a bunch of Overton Bust halves in there. Error vs. Variety perhaps? Is the 1955 DD considered a variety? Its listed, or what about the O/S Morgans. Maybe this should be a new thread Frank. Feel like we are hijacking this one.
I suspect the reason red was used, is/was there are many reference and listing Redbooks. previous and at the time of Yeoman, in different industries. IBM, Many real estate groups,antique dealers, Banks, Military and such had "redbooks". The next 2 most popular colors seemed to be "Blackbook" and "Bluebook". Now there are Beige, Brown, White, etc. Jim
Jim That may have made sense, except for the fact that all of those other books (except for the blue book) post dated the Guide Book. See Ken's comment quoted above.
