I just think that the people of Canada like the word loonie and also like asking in US airports 'How many Loonies do I get for these dollars' LOL
loonie or sackie i still like to know the intrinsic value for both. i think it is hard to figure out. or else some body would have telling me.
Here are the specs I will leave it to you to work out the value LOL Sac specs Composition:Manganese-Brass: 88.5% Cu, 6% Zn, 3.5% Mn, 2% Ni Weight:8.100 g Diameter:1.043 in., 26.5 mm Thickness: 2.00 mm Loonie specs Composition: 91.5% Ni, 8.5% bronze plating 88% Cu, 12% Sn Weight: 7 g Diameter: 26.5 mm Thickness: 1.75 mm
hard to calculate loonie it is hard to calculate loonie unless we know the percentage of bronze plating to the whole coin.
thanks i mean the hardest calculation is the toonie bi-metallic. do you know its composition and how many % on each metallic?
i got it loonie worth u.s.$0.1881 each for intrinsic value. while sacagawea worth u.s.$0.0545 each. now it is time to figure out bi-metallic toonie.
i got it again toonie worth about u.s.$0.13 each other u.s. denominations: susan anthony - $0.069 sac & prez - $0.055 half dollar - $0.097 nickel - $0.061 cent - $0.006
loonie collapse?. loonie and sac dollar fought back and forth these few days. now i can say it is one to one ratio.
one sac is not worth $1.08 canadian loonie. but people there were using loonie heavily. why can't we?.
Who is lobbying to keep the $1 bill? Is it the dollar bill change machine vendors or the vending machine vendors who now allow you deposit a $1 or $5 bill into the machine? Most of those machines will accept the dollar coins too. Who would care enough to lobby?
the washing machine of our area were mostly using prepaid card. i used some my new dollar coin. and keep all the rest.
why is canadian loonie widely use?. and the u.s. dollar coin can't?. maybe we should let canadian use our dollars. after all the exchange rate almost equal.
Canada dropped its one dollar bill, so people use loonies. Love the coin, got one in the rejects of a coin counter I was using.
