Completed Merc Dime Circ Set

My humble completed merc set in a dansco and my 1916-d = NGC AG-03(hairlines are on the slab). :goofer:

Congratulations! Never managed to complete one of those. I found every other Mercury except the 16-D from circulation - twice over, but never a 16-D.

 

Nice!! That is one series I thought about doing in G-VG, not too much money cept for the 16-d

 

that 16-d looks like the best ag I've ever seen. I've seen G-4's without that much rim.

 

Yep... the first set I almost completed from circulation during my collecting heyday of the mid 50's. Never could find that '16-D.

 

thanks! this date is routinely overgraded, as are most key-dates(as discussed in the 01-s quarter thread). I think this coin is correctly graded, and verging on being strong for the grade; which is why I bought it. The reverse from 1oclock to 3oclock holds it to a technical AG.

Congats!! has got to be nice to have the set, I am lacking the 16-D myself as well as the 21-D, but have been eyeing one, hahaha, nice job!
