    My newest danish coin

Last week I could add this little beauty to my collection of danish coins:

    24 Skilling 1732
    Grade: Fine
    Size: 30 mm
    Metal: Silver
    Price: $172
    Value: $181
Portrait: King Christian VI - King of Demark and Norway 1730-1746, known to be an intolerant pietist who introduced serfdom to the danish peasantry. His pietism may have been a reaction to the moral of his womanizing father (Frederick IV). Christian was sickly, and this caused his early death. He was succeeded on the throne by his drunkard son, Frederick V

I just felt the need to tell it :goofer:

    King Christian VI

Thank you for the story & photo. "surfdom" and "Pietism" are words I don't read too often. So basically this sickly guy was the son of a womanizer that thought he was a god and forced people to work as slaves and his son was a drunk. Nice guy. He ought to be on a coin:goofer:.

Thanks again for posting the coin.
