Yeah, it finally officially says Sold Out now. That thread was pre-mature as you could still be put on the waiting list. They're all paid and accounted for now. No more waiting list.
I read somewhere where the waiting list was up to 10,000. I think this is just a nice, nice from the Mint to show it cares but with no expectation that canceled orders would ever come close to that figure.
