Instead of going in to school and doing lab work, I decided to celebrate the awesome weather by playing hookey and... staying inside and bidding on mid-day eBay lots. Here's one I snagged for $50 plus $6 shipping: http://cgi.ebay.com/78-of-the-Worlds-Coinage-1861-1954_W0QQitemZ280410564610QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item4149c5a802 I'm definitely seeing some Mexican silver 1 pesos and a 25 peso in there, silver Canadian 5 cent, along with some NICE earlier date world coins! Anyone seeing anything super-awesome in there as well? I haven't even gone through the lot coin by coin and the description covers half the stuff (and barely at that). There goes my fun money for a while, but this is at least 2-3 hours of fun identifying and sorting! P.S I know, it's mostly junk lot, I'm just having some fun here.
Well, that's what I'll be doing and the rest of what I don't need will go back up on ebay or to my trade folders.
Yes! There is nothing more gratifying than sniping something in the very last seconds, my record is 0 seconds left, but I have missed by a second too.
If you like checking details on coins, you might look for the Canada 1910 5c "rounded leaf". Those are scarcer, and with a bit more value like $30 in F15 for "rounded" vs. $3 for "pointed". Enjoy those! :thumb:
