The initials appear to close to the Memorial and there's a gap between the 'A' and 'M'.

The coin on eBay is a normal 1992 D. It's a Wide AM with a damaged foot of the A.

    I wouldn't touch it.

    Thanks,
    Bill

DO NOT BUY THIS COIN IT IS NOT A CLOSE AM.

The diagnostics for the coin are
the "AM" are touching ( you will not be able to tell they are not with out a loupe)

The important part is the "FG" is spaced further away from the memorial and the "G" is not crossed at the top.

This is the same guy who keeps trying to sell these on e-bay and he is extremely rude when told he is not selling what he is advertising. Is there anyway to stop this? Boy it really takes alot to get my dander up but this guy has done it!

Here is what I just sent him. It won't matter but I want to see what his response is.

    "Hi,

I do hope that you know that your coin is not as advertised. It is a Wide AM cent with a damaged A.
Your coin is worth one cent.

If the coin continues to be advertised incorrectly, I'll need to make eBay aware of it.

They probably won't do much but you at least are owed the courtesy of knowing that you are mistaken on this listing.

    Thanks
    Bill

Said much better than I could have. I have been following this guys auctions for months and he isconstantly trying to sell these narrower "AM" coins as close I know several people from other forums have also commented to him about it but still he goes on. I really can not stand people who try to make a profit dishonestly. In the military we would consider him "a person who didn't know the correct answer when told" and he would get fired.

I know for a fact that this seller has at least twice sold erroneous 92D CAMs that were eventually returned. As to why they would continue to perpetually list nonsense like this is beyond me...

Looks like the guy pulled his auction right after he responded to Rockdude. I am actually mildly surprised.

I agree 1 bazillion percent. PURE GARBAGE

I think I am going to let my emotions go here. Once again this same seller who has been informed several times he is misrepresenting his auctions is trying to dupe people. I am not Duddley Doright in any way shaped or form, but this guy is lower than whale gnu. A genuine certified snake oil salesman and I wish we were back in the late 1700s or 1800s as I could do what I feel like doing to this character (tar and feather, so if anything besides that happens it wasn't me). On a more serious note and as I said above not DD nor do I care to coddle the weak or stupid ( yes if you are not smart enough to do the research before buying it fits you) but this has got to stop! And from some of the posts I've read the problem is way bigger than this one fish. Anyone out there with more experience dealing with this type of person and has an idea please chime in.

Good goin' everyone. This guy or gal is a gypsy con artist supreme. He''ll 'yes' you to death and keep doin' the same thing. Sounds the the president of Iran. Ijust hope people will ask a knowledgeable friend first before buying a cent that expensive.

I didn't even notice that it was the same seller. I just cruise through the error coin listings when I'm bored and try to find some good deals. Occasionally I stumble on something like this. This guy really needs to sign up here and confirm his finds before he tries to post crap like that for hundreds of dollars.
