I've actually gotten value after value many times. I'm not as pessimistic as you. You can call me naive, but I expect honesty out of sellers, not lies. Granted, I do a lot of deduction based upon items for sale and items previously sold, but I take people at their word unless I see red flags.

The Red Flags come when you buy the kind of lots I was talking about. I guess you will have to learn by doing. I was just like you, didn't listen to what others were saying, and believed everybody was honest. Not true, and will never happen.

I've done my own deduction, and so far have purchased lots that I've flipped for a profit. When my deduction fails me and I start purchasing more lots that I can't flip than those that I can, then perhaps I'll give it up.

Hi...I'm not quite sure I understand. Did you know or see what you were bidding on before "winning" the auction? Can you post a link to the auction so we can offer an informed opinion?

I do not think it is a question of who is right or wrong, what we have here is a failure to communicate.

Name calling and negatives ? Why ?

You didn't say the coin/(coins) were not BU or M65. You're only questioning the value of 1 coin.(To her, not us).

I don't understand the problem. She sees 1 of the coins with a value higher than what you see it at. That's business. If you are unhappy with the coin(coins), Send Them Back ! I don't see a need for negging her.

I have a Morgan that I swear is a 65 all day long. NGC doesn't see it that way. That's called opinion. Just like your sellers opinion. Do I want 65 money for my coin? You bet. Can you blame her if she honestly believes that coin is a 65 ?

If you go to buy a car, tv , boat or whatever, don't you shop for the article at the best price? If you're selling an article, don't you want to sell it for the best price ?, If you are honest, in your opinion, of it's condition shouldn't you expect FMV ? Why should coins be different?

Now, to try to answer your question I'll quote from Coin Prices Magazine.

    Dready,

I think the point of leaving her a negative, is not only for the bad experience, but c'mon! I mean, is this auction for real? She is running a scam here, trying to rip off new and unsuspecting collectors. This is more bull than the U.S. Mint's apologies (We can expect at least two of those each year)
The negative goes a long way in teaching that scammer a lesson. Maybe not 1 negative, but as more people start to catch on, just wait until you see "No Longer A Registered User" under her eBay user ID

    my 2 cents

There is always 2 side of a story.but now Ebay won't let a sell leave bad feedback on a buyer.
seller's have to put up with a buyer that won't pay and things like that.you have to have eBay force them to pay that is one rezone I am closing my site down

That drives me crazy. I think that as sellers, we should be able to cancel a sell on our own if the buyer has not made payment within the time frame required by the seller. There should be no questions needed to be asked here. I personally require payment within 7 days. Ebay should just have a button I can click for non-payment that immediately cancels the sell.

I agree but eBay is only out for there fee,s.they do not care if you have to wait for your payment 4 or 5 weeks.I do not have a layaway plan but some buyer think I do:headbang:
but when it come to seller's fee they want them within 72-96 hour

Absolutely, positively!! The coins on ebay are only worth the amount that you decide they are worth, period!!

Take a look at the BIN prices, most of them are truly ridiculous!! You can't trust everyone on ebay, buyer beware!.

Some ppl need to stay off of ebay and don't anyone take that personal. I'm just saying!!
