Just got this in the mail today. I paid $250 for it. It is very eye appealing with nice toning on the reverse. It has a PL obverse and possibly a DMPL reverse. Please comment.

I've always liked that frosty cameo look, nice!

Hi, The grade appears to be in an accurate range, the designations of PL and DMPL and other mirrors seem to be different for the TPGs, so hard to compare for me, having to read certain number of inches away, etc.

I really was interested in the VAM more than the grade myself, but even blown up, it it hard to see the date and the mint mark distinctly enough to judge. So I guess I am not much help to you.

I will add close picks of the VAM in a few minutes...

That's in a new ANACS slab. I'd be skeptical of the grade and the designation. It sure doesn't look PL based on the pics.

If you can, post a close-up of the face, from behind the eye and going forward, to the left. That whole 1/4 of the coin.

    Pics of the VAM

Pictures aren't too clear, but not bad for a camera and a loupe. They are very similar to those of VAM WORLD. Any more comments?

I'm pretty sure it is. It is very reflective. I have a comparable MS, non PL Morgan with a similar grade and does not have any of the prooflike surfaces that the Vam-2 does. I'll try to take some "in-hand" accurate pics, but its hard with PL and DMPL.

The PL surfaces are not what I am interested in seeing. I can see them well enough. I'd just like a close-up of the left side of the coin - obverse.

I have posted the pics below, GDJMSP. In reference to the angle and orientation you wanted the picture taken from, I could not understand what you meant exactly. These pics illustrate the PL the coin displays. In the pics, you can clearly make out the digital camera and even begin to read some of the writing on the camera. The other pics shows the clear reflection of my finger over the coin. These reflections are not the plastic. I trust the proof-like designation...

Nice CC! Looks like a solid 63PL, I don't think either side is DMPL from the pics though.

Post # 10 has the best pictures displaying its Proof like surfaces. The reverse (last picture) really looks like the better side. Maybe a DMPL. I don't want to get it regraded and have the grade go down just to get the DMPL.

GDJMSP, now I want to know why you were so specific about which section of the coin you wanted to see. Did you notice something?

This is what I wanted to see. The pics you provided were just fine. It's just an effect caused by the reflection somehow because it moves around as you change the angle.

Thanks for the closeups! They show the VAM markers very well. Nice.
