No problem. You can do the type set in the NGC Coin Registry.

And you can put them in an Eagle Album for certified coins.

Thanks to Illini, I have an Eagle album now. :)

    Eagle albums rock :thumb:

Or you could smash them all out of the slabs like I did in the thread linked here :headbang: (which I bumped for ya).

But I'd strongly advise against that, unless you would like to experience your own cracker's remorse :p

I think the collection would look just fine in an eagle album and plus I agree with illini that you don't need to crack them out. I need to get me some more albums so I can break apart some separate collections.

Believe me, over my dead body would I crack them out :)

T$ mentioned the NGC registry - try getting onto the PCGS list. I dislike they all have to be PCGS graded, but it is their game.

    How would I do that?

    NGC Registry;

    Go to NGCCOIN.com
    Go to Collectors Society
    Go To Registry
Click on the logo that says READ SETS GO

Sign up and start adding your coins :)

Isn't there a bullion forum for this thread?

While I consider them modern bullion, they are US Coins and this forum is fine for it. At least in my opinion - and who knows we may move him to collecting older non-bullion coins.

How are you going to split it up? There is Some bullion mentioned here yes , but mostly coins. So why would you put it there?

Just snagged the 2006 p reverse for $180 shipped. Woohoo! Certified PF69.

Why don't you do a whole set of certified silver eagles? You already have the 1995-W which is the biggie.

I was going to but if I do that they'd have to all be proofs and we're talking a few k for that, no?

  18. mark_h

    mark_h Somewhere over the rainbow

Yep - it will be a few K, but at least it would be a full set. Plus you can always try to win auctions cheaper than previous auctions. There are only 1 or 2 that might run over $100.

Well, you got the 2006 W Reverse Proof. That is one of my favorite coins, next to the 2006 Proof Gold Buffalo. I have 5 of them (RPs). With your '95W you're on a fast track for all the Proof ASEs. That would be a great set to accumulate and to complete. You have the 2 KEYS...Go for it.

If Doug won't I will. Forget the bullion BNB. Stick with the classic key date coins. Here are my two suggestions.

    1) Lafayette Dollar MS64: There is a nicely toned example in the current Heritage Sale.

    2) 1964-L Indian Head Cent in MS65 with no restriction on RD, RB, or BN designation.
