Use several windows or tabs and refresh a lot. took me 15 minutes from start to finish using this technique.

I finally got thru and completed the order at 1:54pm EST. Iknow what everyone must have gone through too. Copleted it on the internet which I thought would be the last place I could get get through. Phones are still jammed up like a constipated pig in a corn patch. Let's hope now there are no cancellations for being ''sold out''. Gee aren't I an optomist. zeke
Still wound up. I'll never get used to this.

If it's in your shopping cart click on quick checkout while keeping patience in mind. If after quick checkout you get a white screen, click on your refresh button and it should take you back to your cart.

It took me over 2 hours using that same method. I think its kind of luck of the draw. They should have just had a raffle, lol.

A raffle or know their customer base better to handle the orders... with so much marketing for anything Lincoln this year, they might have know if they could sell out so easily and profit more from this piece.

    for your consideration

Anyone who does not manage to et the Lincoln Coin & Chronicle set (LN6) will have the chance on the secondary market in buying empty cases when others start to sell them after having coins sent in for grading/slabbing.

An LN6 set will be possible to assemble from the Proof Lincoln Coin and 4 pc. Lincoln Proof set (currently still $7.95 from the Mint) The cases may show up for $10, $20 - $50 on eBay later on... if the LN6 sets remain hot, this may not be much to pay if you can assemble such a set yourself from the parts.

    An important consideration:
    I
f you get any LN6 sets that contain cents with spots, I suggest you do not complain to the Mint and DO NOT send the set back to the Mint. Instead buy the 4 piece Lincoln Proof set with clean coins to replace those in your LN6 set. If you return your LN6 set to the Mint due to spots or other minor problems this would mean you loose the silver proof coin and the case itself, plus shipping costs.

Read that post saying Never Again. Same thing. I just went through this mess. I've been ordering on line for many, many years and never a problem. Just a little while ago I spent almost an hour and never did get my order.
Finally called 1-800-872-6468 and after a few minutes of press 1, press 2, etc. I finally got through and heard SORRY FOR THE INTERNET MESS story. Then a lady took my order.

I doubt you will see very many empty or partial sets on ebay. This is not a set you break up for grading because the coins are worth much less out of the set than in it. And if you do get a set with some 70 coins in it it would still be much more to your advantage to swap out the coins and sell the set than to just have the coin graded and sell the empty holder.
