Go to Amazon.com and buy the book, "The Creature from Jekyll Island."

Its great information for those not familiar with true history.

Much better citation. Unfortunately, I'm already very familiar with how the fed creates money. That's precisely what it was meant to do.

But if you think that a commodity backed currency would be anything like stable, you're dreadfully wrong.

Perhaps people need to carry around gold and silver again.... and a couple firearms, too.

Wouldn't work, I'd be carrying one too.

To what purpose ? You can't buy anything with it. However, I carried an ounce of gold in my pocket for the past couple of decades. Never did me a dang bit of good other to start a conversation or two. Oh, and it worked pretty good as a flipping coin.

Plenty of us do that already ;)

    gxseries,
check out my album. I took a couple quick pics of the Japanese coins, they are very nice and I'll work on getting better pics down the road :thumb:

    tmoneyeagles,
I much appreciate the tips about the lights and everything else. Do you ever use a higher resolution? Or shoot through a magnifying glass? Any direction to any cointalk link would be appreciated, I've used the search option but was unable to come up with anything. :thumb:

Don't know any links off the top of my head... I personally don't use a magnifying glass, and as for the higher resolution.... The marco setting makes the picture as clear as possible, I know some people get a special marco lens on the camera just for detail. You can use a high resolution for your photo, but marco should do the trick

You know what is funny, is that I have been typing in "MARCO" all this time! :D
Guess I need to go find a dictionary and a typing school! LOL
    Thanks!
