    Heya everyone! :)

I recently acquired this unknown ancient piece, which looks a bit Arabic to me? I really have no clue on what this is. All I know is that it could be gold, and that's my main concern.

All attributions are more than welcome! :hail:

The coin is actually pretty heavy for its size. It's 15mm and weighs 6 grams. ;)

Most likely it is a Tanka or a Rupee. Unless it IS gold. It looks bronze in the picture though.

Can you get pics with better light?

Sorry, I absolutely suck at lighting with coins. :headbang:

What other metals are as heavy as gold that were used for these types of coins?

Could be any really. If it is gold, from what I know it wouldn't be that much unless it is an earlier year (but hopefully someone who knows these more than me comes in to confirm/reject this).

Well for it's size, it's pretty dang heavy. But maybe it's a mix of something like lead?

    I'm absolutely clueless.... :desk:
