Wow, what an amazing coin!

The pictures are not large enough for me to tell where the wear is on the coin, but from what I can see, I'd say a strong MS65, maybe a 66. :)

    GREAT pick up! :D

It doesn't look at all like a Proof to me - I see no Proof/mirror surfaces apparent in the images, and it looks to have the luster, strike and surfaces of a business strike.

I see what looks to be a bit of flatness on Liberty's cheek, and based on the odds, I'm guessing that there are flaws which aren't apparent in the images, so I'm going to guess MS64. That said, An MS65 grade wouldn't surprise me at all and an MS66 wouldn't stun me.

Very nice I'm going to agree with the majority and say MS66 If not for the toning even though I know a lot of people like toning I'd almost go 67 don't see many Barbers this nice.

Unless the photos are hiding something, I would have to give that coin an MS66 grade. Very clean, incredible luster, good strike, and undeniable eye appeal. A wonderful coin. Congratulations!

Wow you guys are good , I lost the larger set of pics , but asked Glenn Holsenbake for the larger pigs , it's graded MS-63 . There are some dansco rub marks that hold it down from what I think would be a 65 . The reason of the thread was to show how pics can hide small and sometimes larger problems , I'll put up the larger pics as soon as I get them from Glenn , thanks for all the comments , I think I'll like it in hand .

Well, I have to say, that is about the sweetest 63 I've seen. Mine isn't nearly as attractive (sniff!)

Without holding the coin or hitting it with a loop, the prime focal areas are clean so I'd believe 66.. The toning shouldn't negatively impact the garde...

Not a Proof, and not a PL.

So, what is the 'official' grade?

    I wouldn't be surprised by either a 5 or a 6.

Wow! Congrats on that one! :eek:hya: The color of that toning looks so natural and original. Awesome color. That's the definition of eye appeal.

I really would if I could , I think the larger pics he sent are too big for CT , The coin looks like the pics given , but Like Illini said it has been dipped and doesn't have the booming luster that the pics portray , it does cartwheel but not as much as I would like , still it's a great 63 coin with a razor strike .
