I tried converting Jefferson to Grant , what do you guys think ???

    Not bad for a first try, I wonder what the best tools to use for that kind of work would be? It looks like it could be fun.

    I wonder if anyone has ever tried anything other than nickles, hobo pennies?

    I don't know what tools he used but most carvers use gravers , the same tools you use for engraving guns .

    I like it. How long did that take?

    There was a forum member of on the CU that specialized in re-carving coins like this. Have not seen him post in a long time though. He would sell his work on e-bay.
