I Got a box of pennys from my bank 2 days ago and I found:

1) 1935 Canadian Cent
2) 1946 US Wheat cent

I had some luck today on my day off. Out of 100.00 of customer rolled halves: 5 64's and 22 40%ers. One roll alone had 14 40%ers and all five 90%ers!!! The other rolls looked as though they had been searched because the roll had the Brinks wrapping still on but one end was cut away and only a piece of tape was holding the coins in......You never know till ya look!!!!

 

Gypsy, you seem to be having more luck than anyone reporting here. Congrats! You musta wet yourself when you opened that one roll with 19 out of 20 silver coins. WOW!!!!

 

got my 4 boxes of halves found only 1 %40 :crying: one box had 305 new 2000-D halves (interesting) found several 2002-2009 halves
2 bags of dimes 5 silver
Ill grab some more stuff to look through tomorrow 4 the weekend :smile

I went through a box of pennies the other day. I found:
8 Rail splitters, 1 Log Cabin, 3-1958 D's, 1- 1955 D, 1- 1953, 1-1950 S, 2-1946, 1-1944, 1-1939, 1-1934, 1-1929 D, 1- 1923, 11 Canadian Cents, 1 Swedish 50 ore, and 1 blank planchet

Not bad for one box.

I went through a box of halves today.....nothin. I'll get another tomorrow.

 

From 2 rolls of cents I opened at work, I got 2 log cabins, 4 splitters, and a 1924-S in about VF-20. Pretty stoked about the Wheatie. The oldest I've found in years. I bought 13 dollars worth of the rolls from the safe, and am about to go through them and see if there's anything else nice...

You said it Bob! I opened up an end and peaked in and saw that white luster that we all strive for and boy did I. Then when I let them fall into my hand and saw all those white edges I said Holy SH*t!!!!!!! South Florida has a large population of old people that most likely are turning in there silver old silver for extra cash.....

 

My Moneys worth

I obtained three String & Son Polk dollars wrapped from the bank yesterday.

They contained 75 dollar coins.:vanish:

 

Searched two more boxes yesterday.
One box....nothing
2nd box....2 40%ers, 1 88s proof, 1 02, and 1 08.

 

picked up 5 silver dimes and 1 silver quarter yesterday

 

This is strange: I finally got a box of halves that I ordered from the bank a month ago...

The whole box - all 1000 coins - are 1998D!!

Thy are all String & Son. Most look new, but not all. Has anyone else gotten an entire box of all the same date/mint mark from 11 years ago?

Well, I finished my 5 boxes of halves. 1st box, nothing. Second box, a 67. 3rd box, nothing. 4th box, a 68-D. I was thinking, well, at least I didn't get skunked. Then I opened the last box.
