Buffalo type set.

I want to put together a set of US coins that have Buffalo's on them except for the gold ones.
Here is the List I put together did I miss any?
Buffalo Nickel
'05 Kansas quarter
'06 North Dakota quarter
'07 Montana quarter
'91 Mount Rushmore Half Dollar
'99 Yellowstone Park Silver dollar and Proof
'01D American Buffalo silver dollar and Proof

By Buffalo nickel I assume you mean the 1913-38 design. So I'd add the 2005 D and P Westward Journey bison nickel to your list.

 

Thanks I new I would miss one and that was the one that got me thinking about doing the set LOL. I was looking at a proof the other day when I came with the idea.Thanks

 

Great idea Kent the state quarters with the buffalos are beautiful as are the others you chose, I'am a sucker for any coin with an Indian or buffalo on it , guess thats because I also collect American Indian Artifacts

 

The Indian artifacts is cool I have a stone that my Great Aunt gave me back in the 60's it is flat and has a worn spot in the center, she said that Indian Medicine man used it to as a grinding stone to make whatever it is medicine men make. I don't know how she would of known that but I have kept it and it does look like someting one could use for such purpose.

 

Hang on to it those old stone pieces are getting rarer & rarer as time goes on , thats really cooooool :smile

 

You might want to include both types of Buffalo nickles the 1913 on the mound is quite affordable and cool .

I will do that. I am not going to include proofs except on the commemeratives. Am I right or wrong since I will be using one of each type.

I believe a buffalo / bison skull to be more politically correct...

 

I have seen a lot of cow skulls and beleive that is a buffalo the horn shape and the eye sockets are what I went by.

 

I guess it's a case of wanted "Dead or Alive"

 

It's a Bison skull suspended in the air , the Bison sustained the Ameican Indians way of life for many centuries. The Bison skull design was based on the artwork of Montana born artist Charles Russell ( 1864-1926 ). The Bison was nearly wiped out by the White Mans guns & greed of the times , they believed it was the correct way to starve out the American Indians !
