Precarious times we live in for sure. I feel you are spot on with your assessments. The Feds never ending printing of Fiat, to keep the debt bubble and markets inflated won't last forever. There is no easy way out. They can't stop printing or raise the interest rates or pop goes the weasle. Inflation is rearing its ugly head more prominently now, but feel we haven't seen anything yet.

In my opinion commodities and energy prices will continue to rise as they have been, including metals of course. I know what you mean about storage of metals they do take up space quickly. I wholeheartedly believe everyone should own some physical metal. They are a great hedge, insurance policy and should be considered savings. After all silver and gold are real money. Silver funds are okay for trading but should never be considered owning metal. Hell the funds themselves don't even have the metal;) I believe silver will hit 50 by years end with violent wild swings along the way.

I'm still hanging onto a few mining stocks and pharmaceuticals but don't want to be around when the meltup ends and things go bad. I guess the only real answer for investors is diversification.

It was a pleasure chatting with you John. Hope to see you around the forum's.

    h.e.-pennypacker Gold and Silver!

I'd buy numismatic products from the US Mint to flip, then reinvest the profits to purchase silver and gold bullion, and I'd finish off all of my Dansco albums. Frivolously, I may purchase MS70 NGC $10 Gold Eagles from various years.

Awesome plan. I do the same thing with the mint:)
Investing the profits into bullion . I love tangible liquid assets. ;)

The only drawback to the Mint is competing with the web bots on coin release dates;)

South Korea 1970 six piece gold Proof set.
But, I would settle for the 25,000 W. King Se Jong The Great piece.

The mint is doing worse than that. The front page story in Coin World this week is that the mint sold thousands of 2021-W Proof Silver Eagles to dealers three days before they were offered to the public. When the "official" date came, there were not enough coins left to satisfy the collector demand. Now, if a collector wants to keep their set complete, they have to buy them from those dealers at a premium.

I tried to start an American Silver Eagle collection a couple of times and ended up losing interest. I am now glad that I never got hooked because maintaining the set is nothing but a series of headaches and disappointments given the way the mint has chosen to market these coins. Given what the mint has done, the fun as gone out of them.

Draped Bust Dol. (VF, old cleaning to keep cheap) $2500

$10 Indian (low MS with rose toning) $1500
    $5 Indian $1000
    Seated Liberty Dol. $1000
    1700s-1800s Spanish Gold 4 Escudo $1000
Fugio cent $500 (attractive w/ minor problems)
    Draped Bust Cent $500
    Pre 1800s Russia Rouble $500
    Greek Tetradracham $1000
Roman Sesterius $250 (or one of the Elgabaus denarii with the reverse of the sacred stone in chariot on parade)

I have $250 left over, just enough for a new loupe, high end joint and a swanky hotel room overlooking the bay to inspect my new purcahses. (Darn, I swore to myself I stopped having fantasiess to work towards...)

I wish I had a local shop I could trust and not overpay by 100% for the most common lowest grade example they could put aside. I'm sure they'd even scoff at a want list, if I'm not paying +$3 spot for +100oz of silver, I'd just be an annoyance.

PS I really want these coins! Trying to cull my collection to a Top 99, and sell the rest. Daddy needs some new coins.
