I just finished the HA auction and came away with a real nice $5 silver certificate. It's a 1953B graded by PMG 64epq with a serial#72000293 I know the 1953B series starts at 72000001 so having a 3 digit serial number is a first for me and in great condition. Thanks Randy
in the "Standard Guide to Small Size US Paper Money" it shows the serials for those notes starting at F72000001A. nice pickup. gotta love the serial. :thumb:
That is one of the books I've been reading plus the Comprehensive Catalog to U.S.Money (1983-4edition) and Paper Money of the United States: A Complete Illustrated Guide (2004-17edition).These books have made a big difference and so has CoinTalk in what I purchase and why. At this point I don't own 1 note that I bought when I first started collecting, now I look, wait and then buy.One last thing about the 1953B Silv Cert. only 14.1m were released of the 73.0m printed and only 3.2m stars. No 1953C were released of the 90.6m printed. Thanks Randy
