Just got this one in the mail today I now have 27 out of 30 of the coins needed to complete the 1909 Mint Set... getting close to completion
Beautiful Half Eagle Illini, looks like it might even be undergraded. A real beauty, Congrats :thumb:
Just got my 1914-D Lincoln a few days ago. Graded Good-6 by ANACS and no problems at all. I attached the seller's photos of the obverse and reverse.
I need to get a camera. But anyhow, here's NGC's images of my 1872 Proof Shield Nickel. It's a great addition to my type set!
This one came in earlier this week, has a couple of big hits for an MS64 but it's just booming with luster!!!!!
I just picked up a 1909-S Lincoln graded G-6 in a PCGS slab for $71.00. :smile Seller pic and bad scan....
Well done!!! Wish I could find me a few of those at that price!!! I'd put away a roll of them if I could, definitely think the 1909-S is an underrated coin as it's way overshadowed by the 1909-S VDB. Same story as the 1908-S IHC vs. the 1909-S IHC.
Thanks, illini! I was so glad to FINALLY come across a no-problem G-VG 1909-S Lincoln in a slab. The realized price was a pleasant surprise. Yes, the 08-S price in Good was $22 in my 1994 Redbook. PCGS now lists a G '08-S at $55. Definitiely a promising long-term trend.....
And the PCGS guide is actually lower than the market there. In January 2009 Greysheet bid/ask on the 1908-S IHC in Good condition was $46/$50. By August 2009 that has jumped to $75/$82!!! Definitely a coin that has become pretty hot in 2009 and I think it could go up quite a bit more, but who really knows. I think the 1909-S Lincoln could be another coin that is relatively undervalued. Again, congrats
Just picked this up at TT a week ago. Since I am at a stumbling point in the half eagles I started the 1836 varieties. I can't afford the higher grades but would love to finish the 7 known non proof 1836 varieties in this grade range. This is in a Green Holdered PCGS VF30 Slab
Kennedy with Heavily Accented Hair Here's a purchase I made yesterday. It's a 1964 Kennedy with heavily accented hair. The dealer gave it a grade of PR67. I'm not sure if it deserves that grade, but it's a beautiful coin.
