The average American population is between 90%-93% Right handed. I have noticed that in the coin business that many more then 7%-10% are left handed. I'm not sure why but I would guess that the population of coin dealers who are left handed in more like 30%. I wanted to conduct a poll here to see the just how many coin collectors on this board are left handed. Do we also have more lefties here then normal? What hand do you write with??? Is it something to do with the brain and being left handed that is more likely to give you the collecting bug?
My right hand is there for balance. That's just about it. All the guys in my immediate family are lefties, all the girls are righties. Weird?
lefthanded in writing. I heard some years ago that metal fabricators are more likely to be lefthanded than any other occupation
When I was bored in college classes I would switch hands and write left. This worked pretty well because if I was writing too much with one hand I would get one of those nasty pencil bruises where it was painful to write.
Nazi or a liberal, that thought came to mind when I read the title in the recent posts section (LOL). Thank God the question is about which hand we write or pitch with. Righty........:smile
Left, but not politically. My Mother was left handed, but in her school days they would not allow her to write with her left hand.
I am left handed. In first grade, the teacher put a pencil on my desk and asked me to pick it up. I picked it up with my right hand, as I knew she was checking handedness, and I liked to be contrary. So, she put me down as right handed just because of my picking up a pencil. This caused lots of problems that year, as she tried to make me right handed, which I am definitely not.
Mom go to Parochial School Larry? My wife attended Roman Catholic School and she tell me the Nuns beat the lefty out o' her. Oh but she's a lefty in so many other ways.....
