Check this out. I think this might be lamination damage. Not sure. Also looks like doubling on the date. PIc is bad, but there is doubling on the 6. I can post more pics if needed.:rolling:

The lamination error looks very promising, but the supposed separation line on the date does not, from the picture provided, look like hub doubling.

Still curious if this is a lamination error, almost looks contaminated with something.

Well, at least I got the lamination part correct:eek:. That should make it at least good enough to go in my folder. Thank you guys.

You could see it's lamination on the surfaces of the field not a big lamination error. And not all lamination errors have to have peeling on them on the fields.and this is a perfect example of it.
Both coins are pretty simular in there nature would you say.

    Hi,
Apparently there is some confusion here. Hub doubling is good and can be the cause of a doubled die.

It seems as though there is confusion between hub doubling and machine doubling.
    Hub doubling = GOOD
    Machine doubling = NOT GOOD

This coin, is not a DDO.

    Thanks,
    Bill

Bill I think you misinterpreted my sentence, which was maybe worded oddly (LOL); what I was saying is what you are saying, this WAS NOT a case of hub doubling...:smile

It was my fault, I should not have had two parenthetic expressions in one sentence when I what I wanted to say should have been clear and simple. :eating:
