Elaine do you have the mintage figures for the Virgin Islands (which releases next week)? Do you have the figures to compare American Samoa the week before it released, to compare the two? TIA
it might be available on the first week of october. i am not sure. but my mintage estimation for virgin islands is around a little over or a little under the american samoa final figure.

Not that it makes much difference, but I believe the 2009 proof sets (both silver and clad) are eighteen (18) piece sets. :secret:
Glad to help...btw, I want to thank you for your mintage posts. Based on them, I purchased some extra 2008 silver proof sets just before they went off sale. I'm hoping they will eventually show a nice return.

I still betting that the 2009 silver proof set will be the lowest one. I'm not sure if that will eventually matter to the coin market though.
So that's a 1986 to date calculation based on known sales from the Mint, but not including any potentially melted, or in the recent years potentially returned after sales. What's the reminder for? Does this figure help us understand something about the overall program?
as of september 30, 2009. the 2009 american eagle bullion silver dollar total 20,467,500. almost tie 2008 whole year total 20,583,000. i estimate 2009 total at 27,500,000 to 28,000,000 pc. 2009 am eagle gold stay the same at 945,000 pc.
