Today was one of the best days I have had in some time, my friend came by like he does every week. He takes me out to the local watering hole for a few beers and a lot of gossip and conversation. An aquaintance of ours (would not use the word friend here) came in, and knowing I collect coins he proceeded to show me the Littleton Holiday Catalogue. He then explained that his spoiled rotten 10 year old son was into coins and he was going to order him the 1999 proof set out of the book. We got to talking about how much the price of these have gone up since we were younger. He showed us the $95.00 price and he said that with the S&H he would be right at $100.00. This is where I made his day when I told him that if he would come by my house this evenning I would sell him that same set for $70.00 with no S&H. Well, he just left and I sold a set that i bought on Ebay for $22.00 for $70.00. No seller fee's or shipping or anything!!!!! THANK YOU LITTLETON!!! :bow::bow:
At least you got a good profit off that. Littleton does carry decent coins but you usually pay quite a bit more from them than anywhere else.
I just got the NY Mint catalogue today and they beat everybody, including the TV shows for overpricing!!!!!!
