Okay esteemed members of the World Coin Community I picked this set up today at work.
I really only got it for the 2 Sene piece as I figured it was close enough to Two Cent Pieces of the U.S. Variety.

Any idea as to the set's value? All have full luster and dated 1974. Couldn't really find it in the Krause book so wondering if it was a set made up elsewhere.

Any help or opinions appreciated it.

Have you checked under "Samoa"? "Western" was dropped from the country's name in 1997.

    Yes,

I can find the individual coins there but not a set listing so I reckon that answers my question. Probably not a government issued set.
Nothing really valuable I guess but I like the coins.

It's listed as KM#MS2 in the 2008 35th Ed., which says 10,740 sets were issued at US$5.30, with a current market value of US$5.

The proof set (KM#PS2) took an even bigger hit - 1974 issue price $53, current market $30!
