In the category of "Worst EBay Photo" I nominate the following: http://cgi.ebay.com/1868-TWO-CENT-P...dual?hash=item4a9ac24ade&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 Based on the pic not sure I would risk the dollar :rolling:
Actually the image is good enough to determine that the coin has been harshly cleaned, all you need to know.
the description claims the date is easily read. I forgot my reading glasses so everything is a little fuzzy!
Same seller – different items: http://cgi.ebay.com/2009-AMERICAN-EAGLE-SILVER-DOLLAR-1-OZ-FINE-SILVER_W0QQitemZ320423993574QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCoins_US_Individual?hash=item4a9ac220e6&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14 http://cgi.ebay.com/2008-AMERICAN-EAGLE-SILVER-DOLLAR-1-OZ-FINE-SILVER_W0QQitemZ320423996762QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCoins_US_Individual?hash=item4a9ac22d5a&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14 http://cgi.ebay.com/2008-AMERICAN-EAGLE-SILVER-DOLLAR-1-OZ-FINE-SILVER_W0QQitemZ320423999393QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCoins_US_Individual?hash=item4a9ac237a1&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14 http://cgi.ebay.com/2009-LINCOLN-CENT-BIRTHPLACE-P-AND-D-FROM-THE-MINT_W0QQitemZ320424007763QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCoins_US_Individual?hash=item4a9ac25853&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14 He gets better with every push of the shutter release.
Unfortunately 4-5 year-old listings are long gone, so I can't show you the one that I think would win the prize in a walk. As I recall, it was a Japanese Trade Dollar, supposedly MS65. The picture was tiny, about 1/2-inch wide with a 2-3" background - and so out-of-focus that all you could tell was that it was probably round.
Here is one that is kind of wishy washy!!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/SILVER-PROOF-SE...dual?hash=item3ef872145f&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
Check this 1916-D Mercury dime, can't even see the mint mark. It's up to $810.00, the seller has nothing to lose check out his profile. Makes you wonder?? 170382902576 on ebay Am I the only one who can't see it?
Look at all the shinyness, need to know anymore than that? It is certified POC - whatever that means.
http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=julest36&ftab=AllFeedback&sspagename=VIP:feedback This link goes to the seller's feedback page. It looks like this guy is successfully selling China counterfeits on Ebay. He sold a cute 1800 dollar and a rusty seated dollar recently. He has not received feedback from a couple client sales. Do you guys think his coins are fake? If so, then what is the exact mechanism for us to report this to Ebay? With only 10 hours left in this particular sale it is probably too late.

Would you believe this imbecile? I sent him a question about the illegal use of media mail, which would actually be more expensive than 1st class for a 1 ounce package, and his response was that he meant to say 1st class, but accidentally said media mail and he doesn't know how to correct the listing! Really makes you trust him doesn't it?
